Audio System testing Measuring & Setup
I offer a range of professional audio services which I have developed over the years through education, experience and industry work. Currently I offer a comprehensive audio system test/measuring service this is an objective, data driven process using professionally calibrated acoustical measurement equipment. I incorporate standardised methods to test an audio systems full system response and by utilising powerful new technology and empirical data, I carefully listening and make necessary adjustments. This includes crossovers, subwoofers and main L R speakers in order to integrate an entire system seamlessly together. The ultimate objective is of a coherent, balanced in phase sound with great imagining and soundstage qualities (to the best that the specific environment and usable room dimension will allow.) Custom Made Test Signal, I have made mostly all of my own test stimulus on a stereo in a way many thought not possible for example the up/down, behind, over, diagonal speaker imaging response of a system not to mention the overall sound quality and phase response just to name a couple
* I also have the tools to tun test analysis of your system internal response like amps, in graph form.
Acoustics
I use Professional grade equipment in conjunction with Laboratory data and methods that are standardised in the industry to tailor design listening spaces. You may be surprised that you can get a balanced room sound with a good room constant value, mostly free of modal resonance and frequency peaks etc for quite a modest price from somewhat common materials, it all comes down to accurate measurements, knowledge and implementation. In the field of Acoustics, a perfect room is considered to have a response of +\- 3 d over the entire audio spectrum (not often) but in reality 4 - 5db is often achieved and a very good professional result still. Some seem to think deadening a room with cheap foam makes an ideal space but adds to a high room constant value and neglects qualities such as timbre (not timber) as swell as neglecting good RT10, RT30 responses just to name a few. Sometimes more issues are created than solved solve. I use my training in Acoustics and Audio to custom tailor your listening room and have assisted recording studios in the past to reach help their goals.
There is always a compromise between budget, wife friendly, usable space in addition to geometry and materials of the existing space, but I always find ways to implement solutions.
* In order to keep prices down I don't offer Acoustic Predictive Modelling for listening space but can.
